Full library sponsors donate $800 US with a minimum of five-year commitment, while co-sponsors join with others to provide that amount. Donations of sponsors guarantee that libraries will receive their new collection of books each year, along with training, workshops, and visits by Regional Coordinators.

Storytelling Project (all dollar amounts are in US dollars)

  1. Current status: In 2020 we plan to hold five storytelling events in libraries located in the Central Valleys. We project attendance at these events to total approximately 750 children.
  2. Budget: $1,000 US ($200 per event)
  3. Funds received to date: No funds received as of June 2020
  4. Additional funds needed for this year: $1,000
  5. On-going support: in 2021, we are planning 15 events with 2,250 children attending, plus two regional workshops -- $3,000
    In 2022, we are planning 25 events with 3,750 children attending, plus three regional workshops -- $5,000

Puppetry Project (all dollar amounts are in US dollars)

  1. Current status: LPP in partnership with the puppet theater company “La Bruja” is producing ten instructional videos to share with regional coordinators, library managers and others via social media.
  2. Budget: Initial videos -- $950. Starting in 2020, every year 15 events are planned to reach 2,250 children from different regions -- $3,500 yearly
  3. Funds received to date: $1,000
  4. Additional funds needed for this year: $3,450
  5. On-going support: $3,500 per year for 15 events throughout the state

Rutas Literarias Project (all dollar amounts are in US dollars)

  1. Current status: all ten Ruta Literaria programs are written and in final review.
  2. Budget: development and writing was provided by regional coordinators on a voluntary basis.
    The $500 per Ruta is the cost of printing and distribution to 74 libraries.
    Total project cost: $5,000
  3. Funds received to date: $2,700
  4. Additional funds needed for this year: $2,300
  5. On-going support: Follow-up visits to the libraries will cost $30 per library. A total of $2,220 for 2021 and beyond.
